2016 Pink Slip Rosé
These grapes were handed the "pink slip" during post harvest deliberations. They eventually vaulted to cult status and have created their own following. Enjoy!
This bright vibrant Rosé featuring light pink tones has subtle aromatics of cherry pie, wild strawberries, and light baking spices. On the palate, Grandma's fabulous cherry pie is what you can relate it to! Appropriately balanced sweetness, fresh acidity, cherry and other red fruits dominate. Lengthy, fruity and memorable.
Rosé is always a good choice, so enjoy it with white or red meats. Also good with vegetarian cuisine of all kinds.
With this Pink Slip, we have achieved a non conventional Rosé by blending Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon. There is synergy between the bright red fruit of the Cabernet and the citrus of the Riesling. The texture of the Cabernet and the acidity of the Riesling create a wonderfully balanced wine.
